Post subject: | Question regarding Duralux paints |
I've read several threads on this site regarding Duralux Aluminum Boat Green paint. I will be applying it to my aluminum boat in the next week. By it's description it's said that it's "like a primer" but what I wanted to know is if it will suffice as a primer to later use the Duralux camouflage paint such as Dead Grass Green, Pirouge Green and Duck Boat Drab? I didn't find an answer using search so forgive me if it's a reoccurring question. Thanks for any info. |

The Duralux Aluminum boat green had the primer already in the paint. I painted my hull with it, then used the Duralux spray cans to do the camo. It worked great. |

I can tell you, DO NOT put a primer down on bare aluminum and then try the Duralux Aluminum Boat Green. I did this on my new fuel tank, and it bubbled all to hell. Had to sand the primer off and then paint it. |

Its holding up really well. I rolled the base coat on the boat, over the Go Devil factory paint. Then used the spray cans. |
