| Post subject: | standard GT hull vs. extream GT hull |
Looking to get my first mud boat and i am stuck between standard GT hull and the xtream Gt hull. What are some of the pro's and con's of the two? I will be running either a 17x54 or an 18x54 with a 36gtr. I will be running in some thick grass and souppy mud and alot of log crossing. Let me know what cha think. |

The extreme turns without sliding. The regular slides in a turn,with a narrower hull it's not bad but 54 an 60's will slide. |

All pro's....only con is it cost 700-800 dollars more. |

Thanks for the info guy's it almost sounds to good to be true LOL. Not a one bad comment at all that doesn't happen to often figured there would have been more comments on this subject but it's all good so far thanks again guy's. |

I came up with the idea of a pad on a mudboat. Besides turning well it will push pole and track with a trolling motor better than a slick hull. I pole the flats for redfish in mine. In some bottoms types it will do a little better than a flat bottom , In most its about even. Its a faster hull if they are the same weight, but in al. it's hard to make them weigh the same. Add frog spit to the bottom it makes a big differance. Its a little harder to built. With a 40 hp out board it will hall ass. JD |
