 Black Paint I have a BD 5500 on the way that will go in my 20x54 gatortrax hull. I was thinking of painting the boat black to match. Has anyone donw this? Any pics? I will do some grey hydroturf on the floors/decks so that it doesn't get too hot on the summer fishing trips.

Re: Black Paint Yes there have been members on here that had black hulls,never saw a black gatortrax myself.

Re: Black Paint Also consider your method of painting before you embark. A booth and gun will come out perfect for black, whereas black spray jobs are horrible for showing each sweep of the can.

Re: Black Paint I did the entire inside of my hull in black herculiner. No issues from the color choice, it's cooler than a slick green hull because of the rubber liner.
Though, it isn't the nicest color for an aluminum boat, I doubt you will like it forever. I know of a few black boats here, they don't really look that good to me, dirty all the time. My first lady's ride is black, you can't keep that sumbatch looking clean, never again will I own a black vehicle.
