 Re: Cabelas Tough Coat?
Hydro is prob 500-600 but it's worth every cent, I'll have it n all my boats as long as they produce it. It doesn't hold water, doesn't get hot, not to mention it quiets the boat down by a good 50%

 Re: Cabelas Tough Coat?
You can probably get by with 6 sheets @ 60.00 per sheet and a gl of weldwood glue for 350.00 or so. You don't need the glue backing. I have never had any issues with mine coming up with the weldwood and it is what they recomend to use. Depending on when you want to do it you can watch the Hydro-turf site for the grey seconds. They used to have it all the time for 30.00 a sheet until the MM world caught on to it. HT will be in all my boats too.

 Re: Cabelas Tough Coat?
You want a non skid surface that will last use line x. Adds a little weight but it's some tough stuff that'll last as long as you own the boat.

 Re: Cabelas Tough Coat?
I just used a rustoleum product that came in a spray can. It is advertised as truck bed liner (I would never use a spray can for that application) but for the decking and floor of my little 1542 it is awesome. Just enough tack to feel secure in your footing and with only three cans at 9 dollars a can I covered the front deck and two seperate floor areas with three coats each. I also then used my styx river stencils over it and it still had full tack to it.

 Re: Cabelas Tough Coat?
I ended up using shark grip. Its basically sand but i think it is a little lighter so it suspends in the paint better. I think it will work well. I bought a can of the rustoleum stuff and it didnt have much grip to it. The sharkgrip was only $5 so i figured what the hell. Ill get pics and a review up once i finish it all, but for now i am waiting on some more paint that is backordered.
