Post subject:  Terminal Block Question

Currently I have all my negatives going to a square block(dont know the name) that connects to the neg battery terminal so all the individual negatives from lights, bilge, etc are connecting directly to the battery.

Positives for these devices are going to a 6 panel switch.

I am guessing a terminal block for the negatives would be a better way to go so I only have one negative going to the battery?

Any recommendations on the type or make of terminal block to go with or where to mount it. Anyone have any wiring diagrams on this type of set up?

Here is a pic of the switch panel on the left. Since I have floatation pods, any recommendations on where the terminal block should be located? I assume it should be protected from the eliments?? :?: :?:

Any help is appreciated.

im no electricians by no means. but my boat is set up with one battery that the trolling motor hooks staright to(its a small motor with alligator clamps).
and my lights and winch are hrounded through the hull. the positives are run to a swith panel. i just got it kinda siliconed and it has held fine so far, i know theres more watertight switches out there though.

Is there a particular terminal block(Brand/ Model) that I should be looking for attaching the negatives? Auto parts store?? If I have to mount on the outside of my rear pod, do they make covers for these blocks?

Thanks for the help.
