| Post subject: | Looking for a new boat! |
Well Im heading down tomorrow to the Phowler boat shop to look at some new boats. I really like the 1848 xtreme v series. I run alot of big water wear the v would be nice and some timber. Wondering if anyone has a similar rig and how it runs. I would be putting my modded 35mb on it. Let me know some opinions on it. Thanks |

V's are overrated on these boats in waves. You can not put a sharp enough v to make it cut through the waves. Length is better for the rough water in my opinion. 19' boat will get up on top of them if you have the power. |

I've got some first hand experience in that boat. It doesn't run big water any better than any other flat bottom boat. If anything, I got twice as wet in that boat than I did in a regular boat. |
