Post What should I attach my floor with?
I just scored some 1/8" aluminum sheet for the floor in my boat.. Should I attach it with stainless screws or alum. rivets? I like the idea of using screws, but not totally sure if they will react with the aluminum. What do you guys think? Thanks, Jim

Kinda worried about being able to get under the floor easily, and quickly... Are SS screws a bad idea for some reason? The only thing I could think of would be electrolysis. But I thought stainless did't react with aluminum though.

Too much vibration/flexing for screws esp stainless they will react as a file to wallow out the hole they fill. Rivets can be drilled out and replaced easier if need be. Either way good luck.
