long transom or short?

 long transom or short?Jus got rid of an ol 23 longtail, and gonna be new to th sd motors, goin with pd36 i think...... but this question will cover any choice i make. boat will be weldbuilt 16 for time bein until finances get me slicked out.... so im askin if long transom or short? Eventually shooyin for a custom like a J. water im in is tn. river n its tribs..

Re: long transom or short? There are no cons to a tall transom, build yours up and you wont regret it.

Re: long transom or short? got a buddy that hunts reelfoot and he has a low transom on his boat. He has swamped it twice backing the boat into a steep ramp. Go with the tall transom.

Re: long transom or short? Tall transome for sure... I have a tall transome and got all kinds of water over the transome before I added pods... kieep in mind this was a lowe Jon boat so its not as heavy in the nose as a custom mud sled is... having a short transome would suck...
