Post Newb With Intro and Phowler Questions
So I bought a TMT boat that is essentially a Phowler and I have noticed through my lurking that a lot of ya'll have Phowler boats. I am pretty stoked on it so far but I have only had a few chances to take it out. I will post up a full report on it's abilities the next time I can get it out with a GPS and camera.

Anyway, I want to mount bow mount trolling motor. Could anyone describe or post a photo of how to attach a motor plate? I have a 1752 "Extreme V" with 23" sides. I am not sure what to get or if I need to have something made to bring the deck up to gunwale height or if there is something that works into the T rails.

I bought this thing to run freestone rivers. I outfitted it with oar locks so that I can run several miles up river and then get on the oars and row it as if it were a driftboat with my friends fishing. It is surprisingly effective like this. I am looking forward to taking on some weedy lakes and sloughs. I outfitted it with gasp- a MB 35 HSD. I chose this mostly because of proximity to Salt Lake and local dealer support which I hope to not need. Overall I have been pleased with almost everything but speed which I am finding to be on the low side of what you all seem to think of as normal.

Thoughts on mounting a trolling motor?

I run a 35 MB, I'm in SE Oklahoma and when i first put the motor on found it wasnt running like I thought it would. I had it tunned at a local mower repair shop by my house and it made a huge diffrence (3-4mph). I'm sure altitude and where the motor was made had something to do with this. I know your probably close to the same altitude but have it tuned and call MB and talk to tech support. Good luck

You can call us at Phowler and purchase a standard Trolling Motor Bracket that bolts to the deck and bow with rivet nuts. As far as performance, it might be the motor needing to be turned up and tuned for your altitude, it might be the boat. Some of the TMT hulls at the auction were not to our specs, i.e. not right width, had some twist to the hull etc. This will affect performance. Your boat will probably do everything you want it to do and you probably got it at a pretty good price compaired to a first quality new hull.

BTW,,,,,,,,,,,,it looses a lot of effectiveness when the post you atempted to alter is right above the one you made.

BTW,,,,,,,,,if you were to give me a written guaranty stating that the 2072 will run warp factor 9 with a stock 36 I will buy one right now.
