 Re: powering my new radio
A long time... A lawnmower battery will probably run a small stereo for several days, a big deep cycle would probably last a week or more. I ran mine all day for several days at caddo last year without a charge other than the small charging system on my motor. Used it to start the boat and even used the winch at one point. Battery still had a good charge on it when I got home.

 Re: powering my new radio
I left my amp on for a week on accident and still had enough juice to crank the motor.

 Re: powering my new radio
I built one in an ice chest. Has a $20 Wal-Mart lawn mower battery in it, a 200w motorcycle amp, 2- 6" speakers & 2- 4" speakers. Runs off my phone or an Ipod. I've had it playing all day (8am-6pm) before & when I hooked up the charger, it still had like 80% left.

 Re: powering my new radio
awesome stuff...i appreciate it guys. def looks like i wont have any issues with it. I'm going to be installing the radio and 2 6'inch speakers in my passenger side half box. also, going to install a battery inside as well as rerun my control panel to this half box. the gatortrax original control switches are sh!t. hard to get to, and exposed to the elements. it's the one thing I hate about the boat. So i'll be installing a new waterproof marine switch panel this weekend. ill take some pics and let you guys know how it turns out.
