Its official. I ran my new boat today, that I thought I got a good deal on and lol it wont run above 10-12 mph. Its a 1644 and originally was a short transom boat. Someone did a good job making it a 21" transom but now its gotta go back. Hunt deck and leave it alone or cut the darn thing and build a hunt deck later. Im open to suggestion.

Im thinking that i can cut along the old transom and should be good to go. It looks like the old part of the transom is still in tact.

Why dont you get the tall transom belt housing from GD?

It cant be that much and on a short boat like that a tall transom could be a life saver.

Woah!! I dont need a fix that bad lol. Spoke to the guy earlier that built the transom up. He said the original transom is still in tact and in fact all they did was overlap the aluminum. Its clean but no use to me right now. Its a fella out of Central. Nice guy too.

Hey Med what kind of speed are you getting? Spoke to Mr Warren a little while ago and he said to cut the transom and rock on.

Man soon as I got it home the magnets started coming off the stupid flywheel. Im fixn it this wk. Ran it once and think I hit 23 and it was running like crap cause of the flywheel vibrating. So im gonna guess 24ish, maybe 25. It was porpoising pretty bad. Gotta get some wedges on.
