I got a 20ftx8ft piece of netting that will cover the entire boat. I usually don't hunt out of the boat. Just hide it. Got a machete n the boat for some natural camo to lay on top. U could hint out o the boat camoed like that.

For LA, Got a pop up grass blind but try to position in a patch of cane and cut some to take w/ me to put in front. and behind. Myrtles give a great big break up of the whole deal and great to hide dog on huntdeck. Funny how different areas are SO different. In MS and AR I stand by a tree if water ain't to high. If so got good netting to cover grass mat and over motor cover to hide dog. Best to try to be natural if possible but be still and KEEP EVERYONES BIG SHINY FACE DOWN and not look at ducks. I get a lot of looks when timber hunting when going to eat w/ paint on my face. Can't call what you cant see and mask messes w/ my air.

in the carolinas we use a lot of marsh grass and reeds intertwined in a shaggy grass blind. that mix works best when we hunt along the coast.

For cutting wax myrtles or mungs I keep a big pruning shear in the boat. It's much easier than hacking with a machete or cane knife.

Some areas we hunt the boat blinds work fine but we still cut bushes on the way out to break up the boat by laying them on the grass over the frame. It's looks very good but I rarely hunt out of a boat blind.

I rarely hunt from the boat, but my blind is a buckbrush background with bundles of burlap tied to it.

In teal season when I hunt in green grass, I run it into the thickest patch as far as I can then take cypress weeds I cut the day before and fill in the patches

During duck season I run it into the brush then prune shooting holes and hide the boat better.

Home made shaggy pop up and then just add local veg if needed. If you have a blind then thats a great start for the bulk of the concealment.

Last year I used die cut max 4 material with homemade shaggy on top of it. I used it all over the basin, sloughs in pigeon, big water on atakapas and Indian bayou. I always try to add just a couple pieces of something from the area to help me blend in.
I got rid of that blind with my boat so I think I'm gonna get a Shaggy for my new boat. It's kind of light to use around here so I'll probably drag the panels through the mud a bit to get the rite shade.
All that being said, when the situation allows itself, there's nothing like standing against a cypress tree in the woods.
