I just put a MB 35 Sport on a 1450 Alumacraft to hunt and fish shallow ,stumpy, sandy bottom rivers in NW Florida.I have a 24 v trolling motor plus cranking battery(3 total) under bow.Had a 5o hp outboard with jack plate before mud motor. The boat floats in about 4" of water dead level without anyone in it.The boat wont plane out with 2 people. With my son (119lbs) all the way on bow it runs decent.I HAVE to be able to get on plane quick and stay there to run the sand bars!My question is if I add some pods to the stern will this help?I know a longer boat would solve the problem but this is one of the best boats I've fished out of on the river, just wont to give it one last try.

Pods are a band aid for a boat that is 2' to short.

you would be amazed how much better it will run on a 16-18 footer.

I had the same issue with my 1548 g3 and 27 pro drive. Put a set of pods on it a month ago and made a world of difference. If you don't have the funds for a bigger boat it will fix the problem.
