| Post subject: | Wax Lake houseboat? |
What type of sewage system do yall have to be OK to bring your boat to the Wax? To get a permit they are telling me I need a type II or a limited use camp style. I called the approved companies they have on there list and the cheapest was $1,600.00. They said if I removed my water pump and water tanks out my boat they can issue me a permit. Also just a FYI this information is coming from the Department of health in Morgan City. Just wanted to check with yall if any one knows any cheaper or any other way to do it. |

Forgot to mention that my boat has a type I and that is all that is required for USCG but not St. Mary Parish Health and Hosp. |

The easiest/cheapest thing to do is not have running water inside your camp. Other than that u gotta spend the money. We spent $1700 on ours 12 years ago, so the price hasn't changed much. We went through this issue 12 years ago when the "official" that is pushing this in St. Mary parish was in Terrebonne parish. Lucky for us, he moved over to St. Mary and it all became a moot point. |
