OK - with hunting season coming I'm sure this horse has been beaten already but in a coastal marsh with semi-hard muddy bottoms sand bars oyster reefs and the like What design / size boat hull do ya'll like best for sloppin out of a bad area with 2 guys a dog and gear with the water droppin fast ??? Total load @ 750 lbs (fat guys / skinny dog and stuff) long and thin ? (less drag) short and wide ? (more floatation) ??? |

18x54 I do more just as much or more fishing out of my boat than hunting and the 54 was a great choice. A lot of room and takes the waves ok for a flat boat. I am running the Gator Tail boat and motor. |

marsh bandit how hard is that 18 60 to drag ? can it be done or do ya need a power winch ? |

I run a 1660 gdsd. If u got a couple inches of water it's not bad at all. The slick bottom of mud boats makes it much easier but I still wouldn't even think of pushing any boat across dry ground. We've had the tide fall on us to quick many times with a hard bottom and had to push. I think it's a great boat to hunt 2 or 3 out of and also fish out of. |
