Post Truck to Small or Not
I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma single cab 4 cylinder. I want to know if this truck is big enough to pull a 1748 or and 1848 with a 36 pro drive on the back. I know the truck will pull on old express 1650 with a 50 Yamaha and waterlogged foam. I believe the max towing capacity is 3500 pounds.

Boat, motor, trailer, and gear will be less than 2000#. You should be fine.

We used to pull my boat around with a lil Nissan hardbody or a Mitsubishi Mighty Max. Both 4 cylinders. You'll know you're pulling a trailer, but the tacoma shouldn't have any problem with it.

The new PD might even be lighter than your old rig, especially with an all aluminum trailer. The Yote will pull it, just not fond of the '06 Tacomas still having drum breaks in the rear. I had one and stopping was the only issue.

if you got the 3.4L it will run away with it. the 2.4L small I4 will work and the big I4 is a 2.7 ad it will pull it too. No worries.
