Looking for ideas for a homemade grab bar...
I'm looking for some ideas for a homemade grab bar. The problem i have is that i do not have access to a welder, other than finding someone out in town to pay and have do it. I'm looking more along the lines of something i can mount to the foward part, or side of my gun box, and something that can be pulled out and stowed away when i get out to my hunting spot. Here is a pic of the inside of my boat. I'm looking to mount it to the gun box on the side of the boat.
Thoughts, ideas...

Re: Looking for ideas for a homemade grab bar...
Thanks guys. I have seen the Mud Buddy one and have considered it. I had thought about taking a walk around Lowe's and seeing what i could come up with. I have a couple ideas floating in my head, it is just going to take some time to look around and see if they have the parts i need.
Thanks for the offer brianb, but i'm up here in VA...

Looking for ideas for a homemade grab bar...
Hey ichabod. I used the lowes roofing shovel on my nfz knockoff like brad uses on his boats. It works pretty well and I put my gps mount on the adjustable side handle. Uses an 1 1/4 floor flange,a 1 1/4 x 2" nipple and a PVC bushing to mount to the floor and then half way up I used an 1 1/2 nipple with a flat plate welded to it to mount to the side of the boat.

You should give me a call tomorrow. I can send you one that I build out of all aluminum that will bolt up to the side of your boat. You can pull a pin and take the grab bar off at any time. $125.00 shipped to you. (225) 252-2700 ...Jessie

I can shoot some when I get home this afternoon. It wasn't cheap but not super expensive. I was in for less than 100 bux.
