Trying to put together a small, backwater rig that could possibly cross a little open water if need be. Had a 13 foot gheenoe with my 15 merc on it and it was too little. Tried a 1436 jon and its not quite there either. Was looking hard at the weldbilt crawdads, but thought maybe a custom 12 to 13 foot true crawfish skiff with my 15 might be perfect. Would like something that weighed about 200lbs or so with either round chines for turning or a good welded on keel for turning. Maybe 80 ga sides and 125 bottom. Any thoughts of whether that might work and what something like that would cost me. |

unless you plan on crawfishing, a crawfish skiff is not your best option, especially for open water. |
