This is the anchor that I use now. It works alright but doesn't really have a good bite. I am looking for a new one that will dig, maybe fold up for storage and not be as heavy (mine is 15 pounds). Any suggestions for anchoring these flatboats? |

No one else anchors their boat? LOL I was looking at a fold up grapple hook anchor at Cabelas. I think Kayakers use them because it had a whole kite with the rope and a float. Anyone ever use one of these? http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... ISO-8859-1 |

I used the bell (mushroom) anchor w/ my old gator trax for a good while- but 9X out of 10 I just beach my boat and be done with it or tie it off to a tree/dock You need a length of chain on those danforth style....it will never bite without it-I'd put at least 4-5 foot on it then your rope- |
