Will an 1860 GT hold 3-4 people on the bow bowfishing without taking on water at slow speeds (2-6mph)? I won't be using an bowfishing deck on top of the bow, just a light rail.

Best way to find out is to actually do it. Gather up a few buddies and go ride.

I think if you put most of your other weight in the back you will be ok

Better question might be - max weight capacity ?

Or USCG ratings ? None listed on website !

3 or 4 on the deck plus motor and driver and generator - thats a lot
of weight to float no matter what mfg or hull design !

5 guys @ 1000 to 1100 lb
motor, gear, and generator @ 500 to 600 lb

I have a 18x60 and in ponds I would think 3-4 would be ok.
I have had 3 and I have an elevated deck on mine.
but I would think it would get crowded with that many on the deck at one time trying to bowfish.

We've do it now on a custom 18' mud boat with similar dimensions and with a GD 1854 so I think we'll be ok. I just didn't know if ya'll had tried it already on the set up I plan on ordering here shortly.

In my boy's other rigs, we usually run no more than 4 people in the GD with the 23hp LT. That boat struggles to get you there but we can shoot usually 2 up front with one clean up guy behind them on the bow. We can sometimes get away with 5 guys in the mud unit boat but it's got a subaru car motor that rolls.

i;ve run with 3 in the front of my 18x48. and i would do it again but we putted around with no problem. it was just hard to turn it and it was crowded as hell, but i wouldnt think you would have to worry. the generator balances out at least some of the weight.
