got a lorance elite 5 epoxy in trans works up to about 5 mph key is put about 4 or 5" water in the boat fill up a baggy with water and move it around till u find the sweet spot , try it inside then move the baggy out side in the water to conferm the readings |

gatortrax builds a little bracket that you can adjust up and down so you call pull it up when your gonna run mud or whatever. should give you a little idea of somewhere to start |

I have one that the transducer suction cups to the transom. Easy to pull off when you want to run and may be hittin stuff and when you want to stop and fish it is quick to put back on. |

put the transducer on a old transom mount trolling motor shaft and tilt it up when you don't use it. |

is this the one you seen? http://www.gatortraxboats.com/popup.asp ... rge/72.jpg as long as you dont have the screw cranked down too much the bracket that the transducer is bolted too should swivel up and clear if you hit something. ive ran that style on several boats before and hit no telling how many stumps and never had the transducer bracket break. when its not in use just slide the whole bracket to where its not in contact with the water. |
