 How much to offer?
Found a 2005 gatortrax 17x44 w/ an 07 35mbsd out back. The girl is selling it for her father who passed away. Apparently she is the one who ordered the boat and motor for him, but isnt familiar with depreciation. She is asking $10,500, says the motor only has 3 or 4 hours on it. I'm going to check it out in person tomorrow. What do yall think is an accurate value?

 Re: How much to offer?
The boat has about six scratches on the bottom..... other than that it is brand frickin new. The old man died before he got to hunt out of it. It's pretty sad but his kids are just getting rid of all of his stuff. The motor really has 3 hours on it. Even has the gatortrax fast grass blind in the garage with it. I hope I can sell my boat in a hurry.

 Re: How much to offer?
Correction it is 6 years old, it doesn't matter if it has zero scratches. It is a 2005 boat and motor and it has been TITLED! It's not "almost" new, its a used boat.

 Re: How much to offer?
I would feel bad buyin it at that price. I would offer $12,000. It is worth that or more for those low hours.
Never mind I just realized it was a MB. Price is now $85.42

 Re: How much to offer?
Ha ha, I know. A couple of my friends run MB 35's and they have done pretty well so far. I hope saying that doesn't jinx them. Yeah the boat is 7 years old, which is why I asked the question on what to offer. I understand the value of that combo new, but it aint new anymore. I may offer $9k and see what they say. I'm trying to sell my rig now.

 Re: How much to offer?
Bet if you wave 90 Bens under their nose you will own that boat. Best way to buy suff IMHO. If they don't take it I just walk away, sometime my phone rings a week or so later asking if I'm still interested.

 Re: How much to offer?
I would take 9000$ cash, and offer 8500$. If she doesnt accept the offer, go up to 9000, and if she doesnt accept that, give her your phone number and walk away. She will call.

 Re: How much to offer?
I don't think I'd pay that much for it. It's gonna be a 7-8000 rig soon as you put a few hours on it. Just like it should be now. It's old and things depreciate. You pay 95 for it and your out 2-3000 soon as you put it in the water a few times. That's the depreciation you take when buying a new rig, not a 7 year old one.

 Re: How much to offer?
I live about 15 minutes away. It was the son in law I talked with, but his wife is the one making the decisions. I would love to have the boat, but I could just buy a brand new gtr for my boat and come out cheaper. I'm gonna offer $8500 and see what we can do.
