I have a hook at the transom on my gatortrax. Its in the middle right at the transom. What's the best way to fix it. I can access it from inside the boat. Thanks

I put a jack with a board underneath and then hammer on a 2x4 from the top.

That hook is in the worst place, affects performance. It will send disturbed water to your prop. You should see a difference when you hammer it out.

screw it....keep on rollin! You wont ever really correct the hook...you may get it out, but like said above...it will return quickly because the alumn has weakened. Dont sweat it....run that sob hard, and have fun with your rig..

and in a couple of years, sell it to someone just getting into mm's and buy a new one with a 3/16 bottom. :D

it ain't worth beatin' out if u ain't gonna add bracing to prevent it from comin' back.... I'd just get rid of it 1st chance I got and then have a boat built with da correct bracing to begin with. It ain't gotta have a 3/16" bottom..... 1/8" braced right will hold up.
