Its best to blast aluminum with crushed walnuts like forever dragging said it won't pit or warp the surface

Yea I didn't say walnut shells is best for aluminum, I'm not sure what is best for aluminum. But I know a hull is prob a lot thicker than aluminum valve covers, I would think at least. I was just stayin they use other things besides sand. Im sure the place blasting will find the propped thing to spray if u let the guy know ur concerned bout warping

Sand is not good on aluminum. Aluminum is too soft. If you ever need to weld on the boat it will pull the sand out.

1/4" aluminium valve covers.........not trying to start a pissing match, just letting yall know my experiences with blasting!
It also will slow the speeds down some from the bottom being rough after blasting!

He said that you he usually uses 150psi, and on an aluminum but he said he uses about 65 psi.

Get him to soda blast it, it's soft and safe. Plus you can just rinse the boat down after and it's good to go. It's a little more expensive than walnut or sand blast medium, but a lot safer
