i have an excel 17/51 swe with 40 hp mud buddy. i was thinking bout gettin a four stroke outboard for summer. the coast guard sticker says its rated for 45 hp. question is how well will an outboard perform on the boat and how big can i go for insurance purposes? thanks in advance, Chris. |

itll perform alot better than the mm and i dont think insurance companys look at the ratings so you shouldnt have problems getting insurance if you went bigger but law enforcement would be the only on to say anything |
