Post First run in new boat
Went out for the first run in my new built boat and was great. Way better then tiller steer. Will run it again and make a review. Ran 31.5 on the GPS in deep water.

Post Re: First run in new boat
The boat is 1854 and Andy at the boat doctor did the mods. He installed the BPS duel carbs, IM heads, and MM double barrel X exhaust. When we went run it yesterday we had my wife, me, my lab, ice chest full, and 13 gallons of gas.

About the kill switch i switched the wires on the back and it works fine. I guess when they made the hornist the connected it wrong.

Post Re: First run in new boat
Here is some pictures from when I left Camo Designs with the boat. My last boat I had it painted Shadow Grass and when I went to Ricky I asked him to do something different and a paint job that would blend into the marsh better. He told me he had only painted this kind of grass on 2 other boats. I really like it! He also matched the bow fishing light rack and I built a deck extension that snaps in to the walk ways that adds another 4' to the deck so you have a lot of room in the front to shoot. I will post more pictures once I have everything finished on the boat.

Really nice design. Very functional for hunting and fishing. Who built the boat?

real nice. Can you post a pic of the inside of the front deck hatch?

Where is the bilge access...I don't see a hatch on that stern deck?

Not built by J,he got J's pattern from the bender.J's boats are soo ugly, people stealing his pattern.
Do like that angle from the transom to the huntdeck, that looks original.

This is Bow Fishing mode! Any one ready to shoot from a 10' deck? The only thing I am missing is a stripper pole for the party you can have on it! My last two boats were a pain the a** to get everything ready to go bow fishing. The pipes never lined up with the sockets so on this boat I wanted everything easy to enjoy using it and not be work to go from hunting to frogging to bow fishing,

Post Re: First run in new boat
One other problem I had with all my other boats was storage. It seem like every time we went hunting we would lose something on the road. I have lost extra fast grass to hunting seats. Also when its time to work on something you have to lay down to get to the battery so I came up with this design. I have not seen it on any boats and it really works well for me. Undo two latches and the rams lift the lid up and keep it up. You can get inside and work on your bilge pump or any thing else. The main idea was STORAGE while i was running or traveling. Let me know what yall think.

That looks pretty good... I would personally put a cargo netting (sort of like the one given free in some truck / suv purchases) It will help anything from flying back into the bilge area. Other than that I like what you did with the "dead" space very nice storage compartment.

Been bow fishing and with the extended deck, light rack, 4 guys, 2 ice chest, generator, and gear the boat will run 23-25 in deep water and the fastest it ran with that load cutting across some shallow ponds were 26.5. Could not ask for better speeds with that load.
