Post Scissor Blind Addition
Has anyone ever added any type of collapsible top to the scissor blind? Not so much for a rain shield but that would be cool. However, more to break up the boat / blind when looking straight down on it from above.

A friend of mine has one on an Avery blind he has. It flips up/open if I'm not mistaken. He runs guides so I'm never in it. That being said it works well from what he told me,keeps the clients out of sight from circling birds.

No, but you could just add 3-4 Bimini type hinges to the top rail and add another tube like this:
——————-———————
I I I I
I I I I
I I I I

and cover with wire mesh and camo. Could support it with some light weight tube on the front, attatched only to roof and resting on the front rail. When ready to shoot, you flip it over the back out of the way. Also, if you made it the width of the blind opening, you could close it completely like a lid if it rained.

It was free, thankfully;) I got it to experiment with different camo paint schemes. Haven't had great luck with that either...

I have one on my scissor blind I made a few years ago works real well. I use some Bimini hinges and tied a ripe to it and ran it over the front of the blind so I could close the roof easily. I'll try and find some pics

Ive tried the top but it gets in the way and does not give a 360* view. I dont like anything over my head. If the rain bothers you stay at the house. Thats why I have all this expensive clothing for. I built 3 of these pannels that lay over the top rails and creates shooting holes to stand up through. I can adjust it to hunt 1-3 out of the boat and have everything covered up. Only thing sticking up past the camo panels is a head when sitting in the chairs. Comfortable and I can see everything. A top is simple to add to your blind but I just dont like them.

PS: You posted this in the wrong damn forum............
