Wanna coat the bottom of my Gatortrax. I run in abrasive, saltwater mud. Which one would hold up the best?. Never used any of these and was wondering if they're all pretty much the same or is one better than the other.....Thanks |

I'd like to know this as well. I've ran a boat with frog spit on it and the difference it made in vegetation is honestly unbelievable. I was just reading a few posts on an airboat forum about this and several people there are claiming that the 'Gator Glide' is better. |

i was also thinking about the Gator Glide and was wondering if someone who has applied it has painted over it?? if so did the paint adhere over the coating? and did it last or was it like painting slick plastic? |

I'm very happy with gator glide in the veggies. But I've been running sand for about the last 3 months and this g4 is wearing out. I'd rather rather spend a hundred bucks here and there vs putting a new bottom on my boat once a year. |

I have steel flex on the bottom of a 1436 with a LT on it. I run it up on the bank in a sandy muddy mix every time i hunt. got 2 years on it, and they only thing I have noticed is that the shine has worn off. (this stuff is super glossy when applied, so I'm not really worried about it being that glossy anyways). I did my entire boat hull for $85 (steel flex, shipping, mixing cups, and a short nap solvent roller) The steel flex comes out of FL and I had one gallon shipped to Texas. |

I've used the steel flex and salt water/sand isn't gonna hurt it. I know a few people with the gator glide and IMO the gator glide is definitely more slick but it also wears off a lot easier. The steel flex is very tough |

Make sure you grind the hull with a 26 grit wheel before applying the steel flex. It will help to put a "LIGHT" dusting of zinc chromate just before applying. |
