Build it out of 2" conduit and leave those silly plastic clips that guy used out of your design.... I would break that blind in one hunt... I'll post some pictures of mine..

Do you stand up & hunt out of that thing? My scissor blind barely comes over the top of the motor.

I dont like crouching in the blind....I'm 5'10" and When I sit on a 5 Gallon bucket my head almost touches the lids for this style of blind. When in the down position the blind is against the sides of the boat. The downside to this is that it must be taken inside a heated garage after every hunt and set up and dried out before storing it because when everything freezes on it the fastgrasss gets destroyed...I have put a lot of time into this blind. I would like to go with a hard sided blind but it just isnt worth it... hard sided blinds are like pushing a box in the wind and in the morning hard to manuver around in the dark and the material doesnt trailer well... ect ect...

So what holds your frame in the upright position? Looks like it is just balancing there. Muzz look at Pokers design. I made it for my 17x54 PD and used it about 20 hunts and never had an issue with the plastic bimini fittings, If you are concerned they do make metal fittings. Just my 2 pennies

Cordura fastened to the rails on the outer edge of the boat so when it rains the water runs back into the pond and not into my boat. When folded down the fastgrass and cordura just fold right into the inside of the boat and lay against the side.

That does look sturdy, and simple... where did you get the cordura, and then do you have some kind of plastic fencing or netting over the corudra to attach fast grass to?
