I just wanted to put out a post thanking James at Geaux Custom boats for the time he took to reply to me on my painting questions. Not only did he shoot me an PM and offer to sell me the paint at his cost he spent probably 15 minutes explaining what steps I should take to ensure a nice paint job and shipped it to me with out any payment ahead of time. I mean I'm from WI and he's down in LA and didn't even think twice about it. I have to say I'm from a small town and grew up with that kind of mentality but I don't see it much anymore. It speaks to a man's character and type of business ethic, I have not seen Geaux boats in my neck of woods yet but if James craftsmanship equals his customer service I'm sure they are top notch. Which unfortunately is a more then I can say for my closest dealer who can't even return calls or emails.

I agree about the customer service being an A+. I just ordered a new hull from Chad and I have been talking to him everyday for about 3 weeks to make sure I get it right and everyday he is happy to answer any and ALL of the stupid questions I can come up with.

Just to clarify, Jim was definately not who I was reffering to, In fact I have never met him in person but talked with him several times on another forum and he had been very helpful. I actually live on the MN WI border in the in the west central part of the state so Jim is quite far from me. I didn't mention the dealer name because it was really an issue I have with them and the post wasn't to bash on another dealer. I only added it as trying to support the fact that good customer service can be hard to find.

I think the dealer shooter talks about isnt active any more for the most part even though he continues to advertize , Woffman knows that and didnt concider him "active" as a dealer and thought shooter was talking about me!

Sorry Shooter, my bad. As far as I knew there was only one dealer up this way. I travel all over the three state area and he's the only one I've ever seen.
