I'm looking for some help and pictures on what color to paint the inside of my boat blind. I was thinking of painting the inside all flat black. I'm not sure if that is a good idea or not. Maybe I need to paint it camo, like shadow grass. Please help. thank you |

If you cover the top of the blind, it shouldn't matter. What kind of camo material are you using? |

I got the black Herculiner kit from Napa cause they had a rebate deal going on, sprayed it on the inside of my boat with a sandblaster, I can't say enough good sht about it. It's not as hot as a green painted surface, and you can't bust yer ass on it. Took 2 gallons to do the inside of my boat, cost 100 bucks. Like Full Throttle said, you can't hunt with the thing uncovered anyways. |

The INSIDE walls of my hard side blind are white, my thinking was in the dark it would be a little brighter with our headlamps on while we were setting up. Once the blind is buttoned up you obviously can't see the white, seem to work well for me. My $.02 |

dead grass green is always a good color. Basinhunter has his entire hull flat black with camo stencil and it came out real nice. |

I have the Avery quick set, the insides are lined with the Windblockers which are medium brown. I then sprayed the Krylon flat black on the windblockers to make it look shadowy. When you pop it up and fold the top down its all dark inside so its all good. I used a non skid rubber coating called Durabak for the whole interior of my boat in dark brown and hit that with a tree pattern to calm that down. This is what the boat interior looks like. |

i've gotta agree with the herculiner. its the way to go in my book. its black when you put it on and if you feel the need you can always put a lil paint to it to break it up. you definately wont slip and bust your but with that stuff! |

I always thought that bed liner would be to heavy for the whole boat. Don't no that for sure just seemed like that to me |

I just step off in the marsh opening morning, then walk around the boat. puts a nice dark brown color with a little gray down. then just dont wash the boat the rest of the season. |

i talked to a local LineX dealer about getting the inside of my boat done. He said for a good estimate of weight take the total square footage your covering and devide by 2...They can also paint to match which would be pretty sweet but really expensive so i decided against it. |

Depending on what you're looking for go to the Durabak http://www.durabak.com or cotelindustries.com and check it out. They have plenty of colors to choose from. Several would suit what a waterfowler/hunter is looking for. I am just guessing, but a gallon weighs 5 pounds. It took 2 gallons to give mine 2 generous coats and that included an 18 gal built in tank and gun box. Weight is not even a consideration with this stuff because it contains Xylol which evaporates. It has rubber granules which harden and make a good non-skid permanent surface. When I was doing the gun box I had it lifted on saw horses and spilled some on the driveway concrete over a year ago. Its in direct sunlight all day and I kick it aand scrape it with my shoes all the time and it won't come off. I did my 16x48 boat all for around $200 and I would do it over again, I like it that much. If you aren't sure it's what you want you can order a sample swatch(s) of various colors and get them in about a week for free. |
