Speaking of it, where is the best and cheapest place to get some? |

Straight from Hydro Turf web site, 30 bucks a sheet on the gray stuff. Took me 3 sheets for my boat. I think it was 110 bucks with tax and 8 bucks for 2 quarts of the Weldwood contact cement. |

No problem bro. Keep in mind I didn't put turf on my front deck so if you planning on doing that you'll need 4 sheets |

depends on what color you want Hydrotruf.com only has the basic colors and the b grade If you want the green that matches the boat call GatorTrax and get 4 sheets There's is the same price as hydroturf.com with the 3M backing already on at $60 a sheet for the green then $80 a sheet for duck swirl camo and nat gear camo Thats what it used to be anyways Hydroturf.com of the good sheets shows regular colors $60 sheet plus $25 if you add the 3M backing |

on my PD boat i got it from g-trax with the 3M backing and also sprayed 3M super 90 adhesive and never had problems New boat went with black from hydroturf.com without the backing and used 3M super 90 spray and almost 4 months no problems Heard good things bout the weldwood just make sure it gets tacky and make sure where you put the turf down on it is where you want it Biggest thing i've found and from others advice is MAKE SURE the area is really clean before doing anything Soap and water dont just do the job either I wash my boat out really good scrubbing with soap and water let it dry then go back over everything with liquid acetone and regular wrags til there is no black residue on the wrags |

Make sure you clean the floor or area you will be installing the HT. I used denatured alcohol. Went with the adhesive backing, and 3M Super 90 spray. Be liberal with Super 90 and cover the area real well with it. Let is setup about 5 minutes and then stick on the HT. |

Can and will you take a pick of it for us? The stuff you got is the diamond surface right? Instead of the grooves.? How slip resistant is the diamond vrs the grooved surface? $30 bucks/sheet is a deal if it works as well. Color matters not to me, after opening day everything gets a nice coating of marsh mud, and I think it goes against the nature of a true duck hunter to put a hose pipe to it. When God gets tired of looking at my dirty boat, he sends rain. |

In my experience there is little to no difference in grip associated with the pattern shape. The pattern is more for looks. HT, due to its foam nature provides a great surface for traction despite the pattern. I went with the "B" grade in charcoal color and put it down by myself with the 3m 90 spray. The only problem I had was needing some extra hands to help me. It has held up well and still looks good after lots of mud, sticks, and duck blood. I cover my boat when not in use so it should last a long time. I will use it again when the day comes. I can't see spending the extra on camo though. After a hunting season mine has its own nature made camo color. |

Cool. I was just thinking the grooved stuff might channel water away a little better.. but if it's just looks, who cares. I'm kinda partial to the diamond tread pattern anyway. |

Having hydroturf makes it easier to persuade the women to sunbathe in your duck boat. ![]() |

I got the duck swirl or whatever the hell Gator Trax calls it with the 3M backing. Easy to install and I reccommend getting some 3M Super 90 spray to go with it. |

I too got the b grade gray diamond. Found no defects in 10 sheets. (two boats got covered and boxes) We used the contact cement on first and 3m 90 on 2nd (mine). I do not recommend 3m 90. Did not hold. Had to go back with the contact cement. the only problems we had with the contact cement is if you put to much on it will cause air pockets. You also need to have plenty of weight on top of it for 24 hours to dry. Otherwise holding great if done that way. I recommend bags of sand if you have obstacles/seat bases to overcome. If I were to do it again, I would buy the 3m backing on it and be done. |
