Post subject:  Re: Mad man custom boats

What's he using .090? .080? And how many braces? 2? Maybe 3? I guess it may do it until you hit that first stump!

I don't know much about these boats but that's what the man said

Post subject:  Re: Mad man custom boats

3/16 bottom and everything else 1/8, I should have taken a pic of the boat he is close to finishing up but looks like more than three braces but didn't count

Post subject:  Re: Mad man custom boats

Not sure what size you are wanting, but I would expect something more along the lines of 26-28 mph.

Post subject:  Re: Mad man custom boats

My boat, built by Cory (thirdtimesacharm), 3/16 bottom, the rest 1/8, 8" catwalks, extended deck, open floor, ended up be 19' 10". It'll do 26-27 one person empty with a stock 36 PD.

31mph?? LMAO

When people ask me. "How fast it will run?" My reply is. More than 20mph. Less than 40mph. If you want guaranteed speeds , I'll build you a padded bay boat. We got a 27' running 84mph. 1/4" bottom. 3/16" sides

Get that 31 mph is writing.

19'x45'x19' is BIG!!!!

I'll take 1000 of them for that price. But, I only want 19'x45'x4'. 19' deep is extremely too deep. Unless you build ya camp in it. Maybe have a access door about 4' from bottom.

It's a V-bottom that has a racing pad that forms to transom. It allows the boat (with enough HP) to ride on pad. Pad is approx. 18" wide. When running correctly, about 2" of pad and cavitation plate is the only alum touching water. Allison Race boats have the same design.

Sounds fun. Now someone has to mod out a MM to run on a padded boat. :D
