I included the GT bowfishing rail package when I ordered the boat because I wanted to included the price in my note. The rails looked a little higher then I was used to, so I figured I could just lop off some inches after I tried them 1st (i never did and the height is about right). GT builds the rails in 3 sections that interlock so u can use a trolling motor with the lights. They designed it that way so you would just pull one side of the front light bar out and drop the trolling motor down. I guess that's good going after gars in deep water but not chasing reds in the marsh where I fish. That design, however, turned out to be a godsend for quick set up and storage. I made plug-ins at each section so I can take the lights out in three pieces. It takes up less space during storage and I can remove them by myself. Our other boats were a one piece rail design and u needed 2 people to take off and were a pain in the ass to store. The only issue I have is that I wish GT would have made full use of the extended deck. The rails stop at the end of the original deck. I probably should have been more involved in the light rail building process, so I guess that's my fault. Overall it performs great with the 11, 250 watt Halo run by a Champion 3500 watt generator. I place the gen on the rear fishing deck next to my seat. It makes for a noisy arm rest and beer holder. |

looks awesome man but i have been selling electrical supples 4 13yrs and i just found out they have a compact fluorescent that uses 46 watts and pushes out as many lumens as a 500 watt quartz. they also make flood light fixtures for compact fluoresents (cfl's) that i am looking into that can accept the length of the 46 watt cfl's. if this will work u can use 1/4 of the power ur using now and still get the lumens ur getting now...ill keep u posted. if u have any questions...pm me |
