So I decided to finally get around to putting my HT in. It is definitely not a one man job. If you have a couple spare hands use them, I didn't. I used a spray cement and some other kinda cement. It was rather easy till the bubbles came. Crap now what, used a razor blade poked a hole and used a can of paint to kinda role the air out. This is the finished product. Next week is the Bimini and aluminum scissor blind. I have all the material, was gonna start it today but the old lady wanted to go ride in the boat. |

Thanks. For the scissor blind, I have the basic idea and reviewed hundreds of build on them. Has anyone built one and modified it to work better I guess. Just a few comments before I start on it. |

Looks like a real good job. But would it have been better to run the grooves the other direction with the boat rather than cross ways? Or does it even matter? |

Post subject: | Re: hydro turf installed |
Voodoo I'm sure it does matter and it was the only problem I had with the product. But the way it was cut with the measurements that's how it fell. |

You have the damn grooves running the wrong direction. |

Post subject: | Re: hydro turf installed |
I know, I know Lol. That what They sent me. If I would have ran it long ways I'd have a 2" gap on either side. Dumb on my part. But he'll it had water on it yesterday and today it doesn't.... so might not be a big deal. As far as the blind it's gonna be aluminum pipe with Bimini hardware to attach it. |

It's the green camo. I was gonna get the swamp but They had it in stock. And thanks the stuff details really quick. So I didn't think it would have mattered. |

Neither of my 2 previous boats had hyrdroturf, but I've ridden in some boats that have it and it is nice, no more walking on hot aluminum in the mid summer day, no more slipping and sliding. My new boat will have it |

I have all the parts to start building the frame, just gotta get the right camo. We hunt flats and woods, which would be the best to wrap the frame with? I have a pretty good idea of what I will hard, just want to know what y'all use. And if it holds up pretty good. |

Fucking cum guzzling monkey cunt!! I had everything to do my frame set up. Hydraulic Bender, all the bimini fittings. Straps. Well fuck a duck. I go to make my first Ben and instead of a nice round corner I get a crimped corner, what's up with that? |

You guys prefer the Hydro Turf or Neo Mat or are they about the same? before I purchase |
Author: | eljefe [ Fri Jun 14, 2013 12:02 pm ] |
Post subject: | Re: hydro turf installed |
Neo mats are neoprene and fade quickly in the sun. I chose hydro over neo for that reason....... |

Neo mats are nice to walk on but the color don't last, fades quickly, hydroturf is the shit |

I haven't done it yet in this boat. Hunted out of a boat last year and we spilt a quart of oil on the turf. Ran it like that all week. Got back home sprayed it out and it never stained or soaked. Damn good stuff. Dont know much about the neo mats. |
