Post Transom Saver!
Has anyone come up with a good transom saver for a GTR. I know GT has a trailering bracket, but it does nothing for taking the weight of the transom while trailering. Our fine south Louisiana roads will beat the chit out of the transom with all that weight bouncing around. Thanks

I use one of the plastic bumpers that Wilson was talking about and I run a strap across the belt housing.I think that Blaze has a piece of channel that he runs from the trailer to the skeg.

Pulling a boat thru NOLA sucks azz!!!!!

I just had a fiberglass boat built and want to address this before the engine or transom gets damaged. The rubber bumper idea sounds good for absorbing the shock. I have seen the channel set up and wonder how much stress it puts on the lower unit. Good idea though because it supports the engine and stops it from turning. Thanks for the replies!

I use a strap now instead of all that rope...but that's all i had at the time and it was a 5 hour haul.

Take the one pictured above and turn it sideways. It should fit at the bottom of your belt drive housing. worth a try...
