It just seems to light. I know, just spray paint it. Itll do what I need it to do. Just didn't think to much into it. I have a general idea of what I want. The area we hunt mainly is more less timber with a lot of dead brush. So I need sonething darker in that sence.

I rolled the blind up/out. It held up good and worked really well against the salt grass. Shot a lot of birds out of it. Layout style. Flush with top of boat.

I got a review on it somewhere. I used the green plastic construction fence/netting. Took offshore fishing hook snaps. Big zip ties thought barrel swivel on snaps around grass. Snap to fence and cut out the holes where you wanna sit.

This is mine I did.
After straightening the raffia, I used zipties to hold 1" thick bundles. I cut the raffia in 3 sections. Then threw them in the rit dye. Once dried, I was able to pass them through the fast grass and the netting to ziptie them in place.

Raffia bundles bought at Hobby Lobby. Dyed with RIT Dye and sprayed with waterproofing spray.

Pedal power...... This worked great for me last year in some tight areas for duck hunting, Cheap and effective. 2 mats cut to fit. The back I had the deke bag (36) under the mat while transporting. duck bag/shell bag mojo etc as passenger. Keeps you warm when its cold from paddling and you are low to the water. And slid easy in and out of the truck bed. Just used pvc frame I made and zip tied it to boat.

What anyone else is using may or may not be what you want/ need
So what you see here does not really inform your question.
Rafia is likely available in the color you want
you don't have to paint it. you can buy it dyed - light, bright or dark

http://www.jstern.com/ call them and ask them to send the sample card
