Re: Lights are on
Nice set and Bad a$$ boat . What type of lights is that? I am thinking of changing mine. I have 12 lights on the front of mine now all together they put out 5,000 watts. I just bought a new Lowrance HDS5 last week and I also bought the chip that goes with it and that thing is bad.
Shallow water master I paid a little over 27,000 for mine and now with all of the other things I added it would be around 32,000.

Re: Lights are on
I thought it was metal halide that doesn't penetrate muddy water and sodium light do? Thats what everyone says on bowfishingcountry.com.

Re: Lights are on
which kinda bulbrite bulbs do you use and in what kinda fixture. I am runnin Halos right now and wanted more light but hear so many diffrent oppinions just trying to get it right the first time so i will not spend to much money on this. was gonna go to hps 150 watt.

Re: Lights are on
we own a electrical supply warehouse in laplace,la. if any needs anything, lemme know and i can get yall cost in (it)them...all yall gotta do is pick them up...lemme know...oh, its cajun electrical supply inc. also, i saw they just came out with a 65watt compact fluorescent bulb that puts out the same lumens as a 500w halogen. if this is the case u can hook up 8 of these and only pull about .5 amps each. they also have compact fluorescent flood fixtures to mount them in. i turned on a few of my bowfishin potnas on to them and they love it. my worry was vibration on the fixtures, but since they screw in like any other kind of lamp, they told me it makes no difference. pm me if yall wanna try them. i give u my word ill give yall cost as long as yall promise to put other people on to it. its 985-651-6289, ask for shaun.

Re: Lights are on
I also have fished with hps lights , halo's and Mh lights in my opinon the hps lights are by far the best. Everyone will have there own opinion when it comes to which light. Most charter fishing boats want the lights on instantly and hps have warm up time and if you shut them down they have to cool for about 10 minutes before they will light back up so they have there draw backs (especially for charters). Anyone considering hps light is more than welcome to come see for your self how they work just pm me!!!! Then make your own decision
