I was building this boat for a friend, but there was a change of plans on his end, and I was stuck with the boat. Listed it on La sportsman as a bare aluminum hull. Ended up striking a deal to finish it out with paint, do the rigging and hang the motor. Boat came out really great, and the new owner is supposed to run it this weekend and get me some numbers of how it does.

Boat is a 1650 all 1/8" one piece hull.
22" sides and 20" transom
2 x 2 ribs
weld in 1/8" checker plate floor with integrated tie downs
4 1/2 front deck with storage hatch
5' rod box with 8' rod tubes that run into the front storage
two rear boxes, one a live well, one dry storage.
4" catwalk gunwales
trolling motor bracket.
50 hp Merc on a jack plate.

Boat was painted by Tim Boudreaux with XXX Designs in Carencro La. My first time dealing with him, but was a pleasure to work with and the paint job is awesome. I've had as many people ask who painted it as who built it. I plan on bringing my next build to him in a few weeks.

Thanks for all the kind words on the build. I'm very happy with how the boat came out and the new owner is thrilled with it. He finally was able to run the boat the other day after work.

With a 50 hp 2 stroke Merc running 14 pitch 4 blade prop he topped out at 34.7 and with a 3 blade 15 pitch he ran at 35.1 He said both props shot it out the hole. I think if he plays some with the props he might se a little more on the top end, but it is a real heavy boat. All and all he was very happy with how the boat handled and preformed.
