 GD 1844 Transom Height Change
I just bought a GD 1844 with a short transom (16") and no motor. After some seaching on here it sounds like a tall transom is the best way to go with a surface drive. Question is what is the best transom height for a Mudd Buddy 35hp surface drive? The boats gunnels are at 19" so I could raise the transom to meet with that or go an inch above for a 20" transom. From a fabrication standpoint 19" would be the easiest, but I want to do what is best.
Also, any experience with raising transoms on GD boats would be helpful,ie what worked and what did not.

 GD 1844 Transom Height Change
I run a short transom on a go devil boat with big block surface drive. Save yourself the headache and money and just get a short transom motor.
