Besides a bent skeg, weight distribution, bad dent or hook, or placement of the motor on the transom (centered or not) What else could cause a boat to want to turn right on step? Yes right, sitting on the right side, driving with your left hand, it pulls the handle from you, not push it to you... Ideas? |

Wtf. You pretty much covered everything except a twisted hull. You hit anything head on lately? |

It's not mine, and waterfowl1, I'm not talking about normal tiller torque, this is the opposite direction... |

It's on a boat a feller just bought and it's a custom hull. I'm thinking the hull is not true. Thinking about moving to motor over an inch. |

If it's pulling away from you, you may have bent to skeg to far. I know you said other than that but if you have no hooks, weight distribution is correct and motor is centered, sounds like the only logical explanation to me... |

yea mine pushes the handle towards you. you kinda have to stiff arm it. I fight it because im scared to change anything and loose speed |

When you're trimmed just right, only half the prop is in the water. As the prop enters the water, it needs to make at least half a revolution before thrust is realized. That will push your boat slightly right. |

Old post resurrected. So Will, how did you resolve the pulling of the handle left? Did you move the motor? And if so did you move the motor to the right or left? |
