I have added almost the weight of another 1/2 of a boat to the plug . I made the hull 6" longer, 3" wider. and the pad 3/4 of a inch higher . I have moved the weight of the motor 6" forward of the rear of the boat. I said that the boat runs higher ,dryer, and is more stable and starts in mud better.
I did not say anything about speed.
Did I loose speed because of the additional weight gain.
Did I stay the same,but see better handling .
Did the tweaking of the hull and additional displacement make for a faster rig even though it is heavier.
Study the video. The motor was not in proper trim, but you can see how the rig handles the water
