 New boat searching
Looking to buy a new boat in the near future. I need something capable of carrying 4 guys and gear. We hunt lakes with alot of timber, but we have long runs. I need suggestions on what I should get, Looking for something that will run a decent speed loaded(i know nothing is going to be fast with a surface drive) hoping around 25-30mph loaded. We sometimes hunt from the boat when water levels are right, so I was thinking maybe the trax 4 man hide, just think it may be too big. So let me know what ya'll think.

 Re: New boat searching
Trax hide is a heavy hull --- great for hunting from but slow with a stock 35hp and a bit awkward in timber --- FYI... Personally I would rather have a longer narrower hull to run 4 guys in timber....

 Re: New boat searching
thanks guys. I've been doing a little more research and I'm leaning towards a gator tail w/gtr 35. I want the length of a 2060, but I'm afraid it is too long for the 35. So may just settle for a 1860. Any thoughts about running a gtr35 stock on a 2060 gtb.

 Re: New boat searching
WestEndAngler - runs a GTR 1860 so he might be a good one to PM....
20x54 or 20x48 would be more agile and maneuverable - I've ridden in 16x60 - 18x60 - 20x60 GoDevils and each step up in length takes very little speed away when lightly loaded but takes away the ability to pick and choose your way around in timber --- be sure to get a pointed bow cause a square one just grabs on every tree it hits - LOL....

 Re: New boat searching
I learned this weekend that my 18/58 boat sucked in the timber but sweet in big water.
