Anyone ever had a busted transom on a PD boat, if so how was it handled? Mine busted on the top where the clamp goes over. I will be calling them first thing in the am, but was wondering if anyone had dealt with PD on this issue

I'm pretty disgusted about it, the boat was a year old on Dec8.

They should take care of you and fix it up and repaint it. They did for me anyways.

No big deal. Should have let plate extend 1/4 inch above. Good weld No grinder No problem

Mine did same thing, called kp he said bring it by anf they'd fix it, I took it to local welder and said it would be fine without welding if it gets worse let him know

Mine did that, figured it was from the last 2 years of beating the shit out of it hittin stumps and jumpin logs. Took to welder and cost 40 bucks and 30 min to weld it up.

No problem, saw it happen once to a fella here in Florida. He had a local shop weld it back up and PD cut him a check on their normal labor rate and how long it would take them.

Really great guys, they'll take care of you man.

I know every time I have dealt with them in the past they were great, just didn't know what to expect with this issue.

I saw u live in orange, u may talk to kp about it and see if u can take it to bosco enterprises in orange and let him fix it. He's a prodrive dealer or at least was at one time

Are you using a transom saver or tying the motor down?

Post subject:  Re: PD transom

Looks like they just ground it down, not a big deal, just need to weld and leave it be, leave the meat!

Spoke to KP and arraignments are already made to fix it.

On another note, the busted transom has me wondering if a transom saver would've prevented it.
