Looking for a set of bow lights, would like your all's input on a quality removable, bright, dependable, unit. I understand you get what you pay for, but like most I'm budgeted. I have been using the Prodrive 55-watt fog lights and a homemade 1 million cp hard hat light for 6 years and just recently bought a 14" Seelite 60 watt combo bar. There are six 10 watt Cree LED's in a single row. The middle 2 are 12 degree spot beams and the outer 2 on each side are 60 degree flood beams. The light draws 2.2 amps at 12volts. It was $210 from Seelite. Shipping was like $10 and I had it in 2 days. This Seelite bar is so bright I can run wide open areas without even using my hard hat light. In sloughs and flooded timber night becomes day. I've also found that this led bar excels in the fog, something my hard hat light and PD fog light didn't do. Definitely worth the money! |

I have the 12" double row from seelite and love it. Makes navigating our runs 10x easier. Mounted it using rivnuts on the front deck so I can easily remove and lock in one of my boxes when the boat is parked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I just put a flood/spot combo rigid 10" bar on the front of my boat...It was deff worth the money. The spot works extremely well. The floods dont go out very wide but they go out plenty enough to see whats in front of your boat. The amount of light is incredible. I rarely use my hand held anymore. |

Here's a pic of what I run on a 17x44 used from hunting missouri river to marshes. It's a pair of rigid dually in spot beam and a pair of rigid dually d2 in the driving beam. Notice the linkage in center of the housing. It is attached to a Ip67 rated linear actuator under the deck with a momentary-off-momentary switch at the back of the boat to control light pitch depending on load location, passengers/no passengers, on step or trolling. Makes it nice to have both hands free to drive. Still run a spotlight when I get close to where I wanna be, but Im really happy with the setup. I will say this, from my experience. If you plan to hunt open water or travel it to get to your hole, more long range spots are good IMO. Here I run the 2 spot beam duallys on the MO river, and it does pretty good. But I'd really like to have another one or 2 if I was moving quicker. The open water eats light up like crazy. If you mainly hunt timber and marshes, you might want more driving beam lights. I've heard the knock off lights are using lower tier LEDs and solder joints break easier too...I do know I'm happy with my rigid, but can't attest to any knock off light long term reliability or performance. They might be great, just liked idea of having a local guy to go to if I ever had issues. Good luck! |

D, I got a pair of the 60 watt leds from gtrax back in November. They are plenty bright and I already had the removable light bracket on my boat. I only had to cut the wiring & remove the old lights and tie in the new. Well worth the $$. |
