 Fiberglass hunt deck
Does anyone have any idea if it would be possible to add a hunt deck to a fiberglass boat? I run a Seminole Bateau and would like to float the rear a little higher as well as move the motor back to give a little more room in the boat. I'm pretty good with fiberglass work from working on a charter boat for years, but I really don't know where to start as far as bracing and the structural aspects. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 Re: Fiberglass hunt deck
People add "Gill brackets" to glass boats all the time. I don't think you will end up with what you want though. I think you will end up with a transom heavy boat in order to get the structure you need to hold a motor and with what will be two transoms. Fiberglass pods would help the static trim, would be much lighter than a bracket but won't help the space issue.

 Re: Fiberglass hunt deck
need photo's of the boat. It may hurt more than it will help depending on width and motor weight. a hunt deck doest move the transom on the boat. it just reprofiles the back to help with back wash. What you are talking about doing will not make it float higher. If yo move a 300lb mudmotor back 6 " the boat will tend to bounce at the bow and require more water at the rear.
