Post Where can I get HEADLIGHTS?
Ok. Got my boat (18x44 GoDevil) Finished. Just a little rigging left to do.

I stripped down boat, replaced foam, raised transom to 21 inches, Fresh GD Paint, and new rivots on floor. Came out great.

Bought a used 35GTR in Breaux Bridge this weekend and go it mounted. Only thing left is bilge, running lights, and fuel lines.

WHERE CAN I BUY SOME NICE HEADLIGHTS TO PUT ON THE FRONT?

GO Devil sells a pair, but I would have to think there are better ones than those, or are those good? Does anyone have those? Academy has some "docking light", not sure if that will work either. Let me know what you all are using and whethere or not you like them. Thanks!

Get some bow mounted lights if you want something permanent... I run a Hard Hat light at night.

The docking lights are good lights but they do not shine out far. I have the godevil lights on my new boat and they work real good. One of the lights is a fog light and the other is a spot light.

If you wanna see very far you'll be disappointed with docking lights. Docking is about all they're good for. On my last boat I ran one of those big round off road lights from Wal-Mart. Worked great. Only down side is always having to go to the front of the boat a couple times to get it aimed just right. Now I have a go-light. They're great if you wanna spend that much.

Bought a pair of 100W lights from the local Napa store for about $16 a piece. These suckers are bright and shoot a beam way out in front of you. They are round with a nice rubber housing.

I am about to order me 2 of these and mount a reciever on thefront of my boat and a box for them to fit in.

These are the same type of light you see on top of the trucks in desert racing that will blind your ass.

Im still torn between the 7" and the 4" light.

Hard hat lights are very convient but for running in the fog they are worthless. Last season I rode with a guy that had the MB mounted light on the bow and for running in the fog it was BADA$$!!!! With the hardhat light on we could not see a thing. We turned it off and kicked on the bow light and crossed the river and made it to the lease...IMO worth every penny spent...I will have one on my rig soon!!!

the hard hat light i used durin teal season was bright as hell but it had too much glare or reflection or somethin and lit up the inside of the boat more then lit up where I was drivin

I've got 2 Hella Black Magic lights and a one of the HID go light strykers

I point the hellas to where they are lit "short" meaning just a little ways out in front then set the go light "long" to see further in front of me...then if in an area with alot of stumps i "pan" the go light left to right with the remote to search for stumps that are out of the water

your best bet is to put a pair of HID not halogen
hid is brighter and they take half the energy draw than a halogen (IMPORTANT) most off road stores carry them 4wheel parts stores is one chain thats across most of southern portion of the union
make sure you get the ones that have the internal balasts so you wont have to do a exterior mount

You doin all that work go ahead and have some recessed headlights welded into your bow.Looks good and works good but a little price with the welding and all.
