I recently purchased a mb 25 mini short and I'm trying to get it setup correctly on my 1548. I have run it a few times and it seems like it has to be trimmed too far down to run its best. I've GPS'd at 27mph/ 3800rpm with the motor tilted back around 22 degrees. Trim knob is almost all the way out. It seems like if the transom was shorter it would run at much less of an angle but I already have a 16" transom. Transom angle is 17 degrees. Measures about 16" from bottom of belt housing to motor mount plate. Any ideas? Drive too short?
