Post Added a CMC trim unit to a mb 23
My buddy has a go devil 16-38 duck skiff with a stage 1 mb 23. We use it a lot at our lease in Arkansas. The biggest issue with it is the manual knob trim. It's such a pain in the ass with that knob and putting different loads in the boat. He bought a CMC trim and we installed it yesterday. He also bought a mud buddy football to run all the controls to. It will trim down a lot further as well as higher up with the new trim. Only possible issue I see is the unit picked the motor up 2" higher than the original height on the transom. We just mounted it to the existing holes to save from drilling more holes in it, but we have room to drop it down a little bit if need be. Gonna try it out today if he can get off in time to hit the lake.

If you wanna have an awesome time and maybe stay in a room where children were conceived on one side and someone got stabbed over an 8-ball on the other come on down I got a can of raid. :D

I'm interested on how it holds up to abuse. I've considered it for mine but was worried it wouldn't handle hard abuse.

I don't think it will be any worse off than say a Thompson unit. The motor is light and kicks up really easy. Time will tell but I think it will be a big improvement over the manual knob

typically the clevis bracket on the pt35 is the weak link, so it may not be bad idea to purchase a beefed up aftermarket clevis that some guys are making in arkansas. and i mean breaking with just 25 hp outboards, i would think, although i could be wrong, that the mb will be a lot harder on it than an outboard. I've seen several break
