Ok guys what's your feedback on trim tabs on the back of the boat? I'm looking at building a 1848 custom boat, and am thinking about adding them. I just have zero experience with them.

And one other thing..... Try to respond so I don't have to break out my Cajun Captain Crunch Decoder Ring to understand you guys!!!

I'm just some Yankee up North!

I wouldn't put them on unless I needed them.

Trim tabs will act like a scoop when using reverse. I cut mine off.

Why not build your boat with the floor sheet hanging past transom two inches and use that for tabs if you need them, if you don't need, cut em off?

Plus if you run alot of stumps and logs it will take a toll on any tabs sticking out back.
